“I was particularly taken by how well [Sam] did in telling, what is a quite difficult story, to tell. Especially without the easy option of presumably resorting to make a film with bangs, fireworks, anger, high emotion explosions and violence. I thought [he] captured the character, emotions and dark side of her predicament masterfully.
For example, I really liked the way [Sam] highlighted the fragility of the girl’s character, with a self-depreciating script that hovered between an unhealthy infatuation, mental disorder and young love obsession. Certainly, I was as scared of her, as I was interested in her state of mind. Fragile, unnerving, yet dangerous.
The script held it for the full duration and the cinematography was cracking. A real wow-factor. From the opening drone shot to the return to above street scene finish, the standard of visuals was enthralling.”
